Cookie Policy
Lazuela Last updated: 05/02/2026 Version: 5.0
Cookies have a bad reputation, and almost no one explains what they do. Here, we do.
This page explains exactly what we store on your device when you visit lazuela.com, what each item is for, how long it lasts, and how to turn it off. You can reject anything that isn't essential and continue shopping normally: we don't hide the reject button or make it difficult for you.
This policy complements our Privacy Policy. If you want to know what we do with your data in general, start there.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser when you visit it. It's used to remember things: that you've already logged in, what you have in your cart, or what language you prefer to read in.
In this policy, we use the word "cookies" in a broad sense, to also refer to equivalent technologies:
- Pixels or web beacons: invisible images that record whether you opened an email or visited a page.
- Local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage): browser space where information is stored without using actual cookies.
- SDK and third-party tags: code snippets from external providers that collect usage information.
Everything we say here applies to all three.
2. Why we use cookies
For four reasons, and in this order of importance:
- To make the store work. Without cookies, we wouldn't be able to keep your cart, securely process a payment, or remember that you accepted or rejected something.
- To remember your preferences. Language, currency, shipping country.
- To understand what's going wrong. Which pages are loading poorly, where the purchase process is abandoned, which product is not understood.
- To show you relevant advertising and to know if our ads are effective.
Those in point 1 are essential and do not require your permission.
Those in points 2, 3, and 4 are not necessary. In regions where legislation requires prior consent, they are not activated until you accept them. In other regions, you can deactivate them at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Wherever you live, the control is yours.
3. Categories of cookies we use
3.1 Technical or strictly necessary cookies
They allow the site to function. Without them, there's no cart, no checkout, and no secure session. They do not require consent because without them we couldn't provide the service you requested.
| Purpose | Examples of what they do |
|---|---|
| Session and security | Keep your session open and secure it |
| Cart | Remember the products you added |
| Checkout | Complete payment securely |
| Load balancing | Distribute traffic so the site doesn't crash |
| Consent record | Remember which cookies you accepted or rejected |
| Fraud prevention | Detect automated or suspicious behavior |
3.2 Preference or personalization cookies
They remember your choices so you don't have to repeat them: language, currency, country, saved sizes. They are not necessary: you can deactivate them whenever you want.
3.3 Analytical or measurement cookies
They tell us how many people visit the site, where they come from, which pages they view, and at what point they leave. The data is processed in aggregate form: we are interested in the pattern, not you specifically. They are not necessary: you can deactivate them whenever you want.
3.4 Advertising and marketing cookies
They allow us to show you Lazuela ads on social media and search engines, avoid showing you the same ad a thousand times, and measure if someone who saw an ad ended up making a purchase. These are the ones that create a profile of interests. They are not necessary and are the first to be deactivated if you reject.
4. First-party and third-party cookies
- First-party: installed by lazuela.com and controlled by us.
- Third-party: installed by external providers (store platform, analytics, advertising networks) and these providers process the information according to their own privacy policies, over which we do not have full control.
When you accept third-party cookies, you also agree that these providers process your information under their terms. That's why we provide the details and links below.

6. How long cookies last
- Session: automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
- Persistent: remain for the time indicated in the tables above, unless you delete them sooner.
No non-essential cookies last longer than 24 months, and we will ask for your consent again at least every 24 months, even if you do not delete anything.
7. How to manage your consent
Upon entry
If you are in a region whose legislation requires prior consent — such as the European Economic Area — the first time you visit lazuela.com you will see a banner with three equally visible and accessible options:
- Accept all
- Reject all
- Configure — to choose category by category
Rejecting is as easy as accepting. A single click, same size, same visual hierarchy. We do not use pre-checked boxes, banners that close automatically, or interpret continued browsing as acceptance.
Until you choose, only strictly necessary cookies are installed.
At any time, and from any country
Wherever you live, you have exactly the same control. The "Cookie settings" link is in the footer of all pages of the site, and from there you can enable or disable each category whenever you want, as many times as you want. The change is immediate and free.
Withdrawing consent does not affect the validity of processing carried out before its withdrawal.
8. How to block cookies from your browser
In addition to our panel, you can control cookies from your own browser:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
- Private or Incognito browsing: available in all browsers; cookies are deleted when the window is closed
Keep in mind that if you block cookies from the browser, the block applies to all sites you visit, not just ours.
9. What happens if you reject
You can reject all non-essential cookies and continue shopping normally. We do not block access, hide products, or charge differently.
What does change:
- You will have to re-select language or country on each visit.
- The ads you see will be less relevant, but you will not see fewer ads.
- We will not be able to detect or correct site errors that affect you.
We will never use a "cookie wall": access to the store does not depend on you accepting anything.
10. International transfers
Some of our analytics and advertising providers are located outside your country of residence and may process the information associated with these cookies in other jurisdictions, including the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area.
When this occurs, we apply the safeguards described in section 6 of our Privacy Policy, including the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission when applicable.
11. Changes to this policy
We update this page every time we add, remove, or change a cookie. The date in the header indicates the last revision.
If the change affects the purposes for which you gave your consent, we will ask you again before applying it.
12. Contact
Questions about cookies or how we process your data?

In these countries, the use of cookies is governed by the general principles of personal data protection of each national legislation, which do not generally require a prior consent banner equivalent to that of the European Economic Area.

If in the future any of these legislations requires prior consent, we will apply it from the day it comes into force.
